Weekend North

The Drive to Monterey Bay on the 1 is one of the most beautiful scenes I have ever seen in person. The whole thing was overwhelmingly beautiful for hours it seemed. The Pacific has never looked more blue and the trees, the trees, the trees! It was hands-down one of my favorite trips to date.

The hotel we stayed at for my birthday had little cottages that you stayed in on the beach...literally. You walked out and the sand was in your yard. It was a dream come true. And pretty cold. Mika my Husky was so happy to get to be by the beach for a few days straight- and the cold didn't hurt either! (she's always so warm from all her fur!) I seriously loved this place- they would bring us breakfast in bed in a basket...does it get cuter than that??

This trip was the ultimate getaway. We ended up driving back home to Santa Barbara on my birthday and we took our time. Dinner was eaten in the cutest little town. Getting to have my boyfriend and my pup with me for my birthday was honestly the best ever. With multiple cameras in tow I spent the whole time just photographing all the beautiful nature around me and eating the yummiest food. Coming back home was the hardest part of the whole trip (and then going back to work the very next day). But that's life...happy I finally got to sharing these photos!

If I could move up North by the Ocean I would in a heart beat... Just as long as I bought tons of blankets, sweaters, layers, and tea...Yup, I'd be set!
