Thinking of Spring

The Sun and the Moon always living in apartness, but together we're just beautiful darkness.
You're like the sun all you ever do is shine, and every time I'm with you we eclipse.

And so it begins... Happy Monday everyone! As my days go on I'm finding myself getting more and more excited to wake up and just work! I'm feeling so passionate about my fashion blog, my jewelry, the forward movement that's happening in my life,  and all the wonderfully supportive people I'm surrounded by. So even Mondays are starting to feel a little less mundane (but that could be because I now spend my weekends working).  My jewelry, jewelry, jewelry, I wanted to mention  because I've now added a few more charities that I donate to, and I'm so excited about it. Along with Action Against Hunger, I will now donate 5% of every jewelry purchase to either the Animal Welfare Institute (fights factory testing, wildlife conservation, domestic abuse, breeding farms, along with tons more) or Oceana (ocean conservationist, overfishing, whaling, marine life conservation, and tons more).  I've always been hugely passionate about helping out our fellow humans around the world and now that's growing into a bigger passion of helping out animals, and our planet. So I wanted to share those organizations here and spread the word about them. When a piece of jewelry is purchased from my shop a shipping email is sent and in that email I provide a link to my donation blog where the customer can see directly how their jewelry purchase helped better our planet! Now for the outfit! I've been really craving a Spring look, and even though we're not quite there yet, the weather here in Santa Barbara begs to differ. So Voila! I threw on a little dress for a cute, (almost Spring) outfit. This dress is one of my absolute favorites. I got it at the American Apparel Warehouse in Downtown LA for a beautiful price. I always recommend checking out the warehouse (it's in the Arts District) if you're down there-American Apparel has the best basics and if you go to the warehouse everything is marked down, and you can even find prints and patterns that aren't normally in the stores. Since it's still a little chilly I added a cropped sweater from Urban Outfitters and threw on my high tops to really give this outfit a young, fresh feel.
