"People who really want to make a difference in the world usually do it, in one way or another. And I've noticed something about people who make a difference in the world: they hold the unshakable conviction that individuals are extremely important, that every life matters, they get excited over one smile. They are willing to feed one stomach, educate one mind, and treat one wound. They aren't determined to revolutionize the world all at once; they're satisfied with small changes. Over time though, small changes add up. Sometimes they even transform cities and nations, and yes, the world."

I read that quote this morning and it really stuck with me. One thing that I was taught my whole life is that no matter what, through thick and thin, people come first. That reading really emphasizes that it doesn't take a whole lot to make this world a better place for everyone to live in, including yourself, but you have to start somewhere, a change has to start somewhere. I've got so many dreams-I talk about dreams all the time on my blog because I can't help but drive home how important I think having dreams, and even daydreaming is! Dreams push us to imagine pursuing what we've always believed isn't possible, they inspire other dreams in other people, they motivate, captivate, expand normal every day thinking and make us question what we are capable of accomplishing...
I have dreams for my blog, for my jewelry, for my lifestyle, for my loved ones, but I've also had equally big dreams of being able to help and make a difference in the lives of the beings out there that can't stick up for themselves, mainly children and animals. This blog is a very important part of that, and the direction I want to head in in terms of getting my voice out there, and being heard. That reading just really inspired me to go back to some of the original reasons I started fashion blogging-it's given my voice a place in the world, which is a huge deal for me. I've been working on chelseaden.com, giving it a makeover that's a little more suitable for a lifesyle blog. I've got big things coming soon with both my fashion and jewelry, so stay tuned!
In the meantime, I've done a rather cozy fall outfit for todays post, complete with hat, scarf, denim, and layers! Happy Monday!
