"The best people possess a feeling for beauty, the courage to take risks, the discipline to tell the truth, the capacity for sacrifice. Their virtues make them vulnerable; They are often wounded, sometimes destroyed."
-Ernest Hemingway-

My day today began with a hot cup of coffee and a walk to the beach. On and off all day, rain clouds have been rolling through Santa Barbara, our reminder that it is, in fact turning into Winter. This year has moved swiftly and steadily without a second of boredom. As I walk to get groceries and see Christmas decorations on each light pole I can't help but wonder how on Earth I got to this point in my life and there's something very beautiful to be said about that. My life is packed full of obstacles and stress, just like everyone else, but through it all I've found my passions this year, and along with that, some true goodness. Thanksgiving's right on our doorstep, so it's about that time for some grace and humility. Be grateful for all the beautiful in your life, whatever that may mean to you.

And with that I wanted to wear some sparkle. This Free People dress is one that I bought a while ago. It no longer fits, therefore it has been morphed into a skirt. I paired the skirt with a sweater from H&M to dress the sequins down for a nice Autumn day time look. I added a denim jacket to push that casual feel a little farther and then paired the whole look with a nude heel-adding to my neutral color pallet of creme,  bronze, and gold. I topped off the outfit with two gold necklaces, a gold watch, and a gold chained purse. On the purse is my favorite silk scarf. The denim can be worn as a jacket to be warmer or can be tied around my waist for a more casual feel.
